Psalm 119:105 “Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.” (NIV)
Every day you make choices within the context of how they will affect you this day or in the future. You often seek direction for these choices from friends, professionals, or materials that might give you insight. When seeking direction and guidance, you should place God’s Word as your number one source. God’s Word is “a lamp to your feet”in helping you this day with your decisions, challenges, and activities. God’s Word also provides “a light for your path” to guide your life decisions and the direction you should go. Your Creator can help you daily through every situation while taking you in the direction that satisfies your needs. The only thing that stands between instruction, wisdom, direction, and Godly character is your choice to get into the Word. Begin each day with a quiet time (Bible reading and prayer) to not only cultivate relationship with God, but to also allow Him the opportunity to speak through His Word to you. Developing an ear and heart to hear God will give you success today and will also place yourself into God’s hands for His use in His Kingdom.
Psalm 119:27-32 “Let me understand the teaching of Your precepts; then I will meditate on Your wonders. My soul is weary with sorrow; strengthen me according to Your Word. Keep me from deceitful ways; be gracious to me through Your law. I have chosen the way of truth; I have set my heart on Your laws. I hold fast to Your statutes, O LORD; do not let me be put to shame. I run in the path of Your commands, for You have set my heart free.” (NIV)
