2 Corinthians 13:4 “For to be sure, He was crucified in weakness, yet He lives by God's power. Likewise, we are weak in Him, yet by God's power we will live with Him to serve you.” (NIV)
As a human, you have inherent weaknesses within your human body. Many times your humanity will seem inadequate for what God is calling you to do. Facing such obstacles may lure you into giving into your human frailty by taking an easier path that is different from what God is calling you. As appealing as this might be, it may cause you to miss a wonderful opportunity to experience more of God’s life and work in you. It is out of your human weakness that the Lord has His best opportunity to be God in your life. Your weakness gives you the opportunity to yield yourself to God, so that His mighty hand can touch you while acting in your life. Psalm 77:13-14 says, “Your ways, O God, are holy. What god is so great as our God? You are the God who performs miracles; You display Your power among the peoples.” Allowing God to step into your life where your weaknesses long for relief lets you experience God’s power in a way that will firm up your faith and better equip you to serve Him. God desires not only your fellowship, but also the opportunity to do mighty things through you. Allow God to be your all in all!
2 Corinthians 12:9 “My grace is sufficient for thee: for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” (KJV)
