1 Corinthians 2:4-5 “My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power, so that your faith might not rest on men's wisdom, but on God's power.” (NIV)
As you read these verses, ask this question of yourself, “Is the life, work, and power of Christ expressed in me in words only, or is the Holy Spirit producing change in me as He expresses His power and life through me?” Acts 1:8 declares, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Too many Christians have reduced their Christian walk to just a salvation experience with Christ or a ritual of Christian activities or just talking religion. God does not want your Christian life to be just talk, but one where the Holy Spirit is in control of you through a totally yielded life and where God’s power and influence occurs. God does not want you to just talk about spiritual things; God wants you to talk about how Christ’s life and power is touching your life as you fulfill His calling and purpose for you. Live your Christian life not in second tense, but in a first tense relationship with Jesus Christ. Your relationship with Christ should be one in which you experience and walk with the living God in a moment by moment relationship!
Joel 2:28 “And afterward, I will pour out My Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.”
