Romans 4:20 (NIV) – 21 (NASB) “Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully assured that what He had promised, He was able also to perform.”
Every follower of Christ (you), at some time in your walk with Him, must come to grips with the reality of God’s promises in relationship to the physical world you live in – will you trust God or the ways of the world? When you are confronted with challenges, you must make a decision based upon your faith in God’s ability to make His promises come true. Your faith will give you the confidence to step out in faith, or your lack of faith will lead you to meet your challenges without God. Meeting your challenges by standing on God’s promises proclaims your faith that you believe in God’s ability to meet your every need. Next time you are confronted with challenges, know that your God can do more than you can possibly imagine, and you will meet your challenges by faith in God – not the world. 2 Timothy 1:12 says, “That is why I am suffering as I am. Yet I am not ashamed, because I know Whom I have believed, and am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him for that day.” The result of stepping out will be a strengthened faith that is enjoying and experiencing the magnificent hand of God. God can more than perform because He is God and His promises are true!
Psalm 106:12 “Then they believed His words; they sang His praise.” (NASB)
