"Sharing Christ in You"

Date published: 04/17/2010
Psalm 71:15 “My mouth will tell of your righteousness, of your salvation all day long.” (NIV)
The other day I listened to a woman describe the crucifixion of Christ with a passion that moved my heart. As I pondered that moment it made me question why I am not moved by Christ’s sacrifice, love, and grace that is bestowed on my life at all times. Psalm 71:8 says, “My mouth is filled with your praise, declaring your splendor all day long.” God wants you to live out of the overflow of His life in you. When you live in this place it becomes natural and easy to share the great things that God is doing and where He brought you from in your salvation. Psalm 30:12 says, “That my heart may sing to you and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give you thanks forever.” You may not feel like expressing God’s work in you because of how the intertwining of the world has subdued or smothered your joy in Him. This happens to every follower of Christ in varying degrees. 1 Peter 1:7 says, “These have come so that your faith — of greater worth than gold.” The question for you is how can Christ’s life in you be a powerful witness and expression of His life in you? There is no better place to be than at God’s center so you can pursue God asking and seeking a more intimate relationship with Him. Be absorbed in Him and He will speak into your life. Hear Him, respond, and enjoy the great things He does for you. A good measure of your success in developing intimacy with God will be the cultivation of a greater intimacy with Him. The natural result of this will be a growing desire to share His work and love in you to others.
Psalm 145:2  “Every day I will praise you and extol your name for ever and ever.”  (NIV)
