Mark 4:24-25 “With the measure you use, it will be measured to you — and even more.  Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him.”

What is your position in Christ?  Are you in for what is convenient and works for your schedule, or are you all in with no holdbacks?  Your walk with Christ should be an ever-expanding progression of life and experience with Christ.  The only boundaries are you!  Though you were given a new heart at salvation, your world remained the same.  Your new heart is continually being presented opportunities from your environment that challenges the measure you use in your Christian walk.  Your heart says yes, but often your will fights against your new nature.

Recently I was with my grandchildren at Chuck E. Cheese’s watching a child in the birthday machine.  While he stayed in the machine, he was getting tickets, but once he stepped out the tickets stopped.  The same is true for your walk in Christ.  The more you give of yourself to Christ, the more you will experience Christ.  Not only more, but usually in increasing measures.  You experience increasing measures of Christ, because your life in Christ is experiencing an expanding picture of Jesus.  You experience Jesus’ faithfulness, see Him at work in your life, and often see outright miracles.  It is this type of walk with Christ that naturally lives in the expectancy and power of God.

2 Corinthians 9:6-7 speaks to the relationship of experiencing Christ according to what you sow: ‘Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Let God be all He desires to be in your life.’  Live in the greatness of Christ - not the mediocrity of this world.

Mark 4:30-32 “What shall we say the kingdom of God is like, or what parable shall we use to describe it?  It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest seed you plant in the ground.  Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants, with such big branches that the birds of the air can perch in its shade."
