There are not many activities we do in the name of Christ where we could not make arguments similar to those made here: Go to church on Sunday or serve food at a homeless shelter; Have a quiet time or go to the gym and witness; Go to small group or disciple another; Give towards creating church improvements or use the money to feed the poor. This thinking bypasses the real issue: “She has done a beautiful thing for Me.”
The distance from living in the heart of God or in the mind of man is small. Your love for God can quickly become a pawn to your world. What looks good to man may
Your wallet says “No,” but your overwhelming love for Jesus says “Yes.” Your mind says “No,” but your love for God’s way says “Yes.” Your surroundings say “No,” but your love for people says “Yes.” God did not call you to rational living, but to sacrificial living. Ezekiel 11:19 gives you a glimpse of His work in you, “I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh.”(NIV) Satan, the flesh, and the world work night and day to harden your heart to hearing and responding to God. Let your devotion to Christ overflow with sacrificial living. Pursue God with a passion that enlivens you to God, so that you can hear His call to be sacrificial, serving, worshipping, and giving. Your walk with Christ will never be rational if you position yourself for Christ to live unfettered in you!
1 Corinthians 2:14 “The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.” (NIV)
“Feet” (applying God’s Word) will help you position yourself for Christ to live unfettered in you. If you would like “Feet,” please email Charles Davis “Feet.”
